I’m not particularly fond of Flash, so I wasn’t all that excited when my phone was updated with it last night. Then I got the idea to see if my favorite-ever Flash game might be playable, and lo and behold, it worked like a charm. If you’ve got an Android 2.2 device with a keyboard, definitely give Dino Run a try. On the original Droid, the d-pad controls movement, ‘w’ jumps, and ‘s’ crouches. Now I need to try out the rest of PixelJam’s games on my phone — I’m guessing they’ll work just as well.

The Gmail Phone

This is so great it’s almost surreal. I make lots of calls from my computer, mostly international, and now I can finally say goodbye to the desktop VOIP applications I never wanted to use to begin with. I have a feeling I’ll be using my computer for more calls than ever before — I’ve already started, and it’s completely seamless.

I stumbled upon this Ralph McQuarrie painting ages ago, but I still haven’t been able to find out the story behind it. Reminds me of what it was like to visit Epcot Center as a kid.
