More MK Wii
I just finished my third day with the game, and I spent most of it with the bikes. Which, it turns out, I’m now officially crazy about. Not only are they a blast to play with and get adjusted to, their designs trump the karts in every respect. Also:
+ Toad’s Factory and Wario’s Gold Mine are on their way to becoming two of my favorite MK tracks ever.
+ There are actually a few kart designs that I’m digging — the Turbo Blooper and Nostalgia 1 come to mind.- Rainbow Road isn’t anywhere near as good as the DS version, or even the one from Double Dash. I find it really lame.
- Moonview Highway may be the cheapest-looking MK track ever. A far cry from the awesome Toad’s Turnpike.
I finally decided to give the Wiimote/Nunchuck control scheme a go, but after a good hour with it, I had to go back to my beloved Wii Wheel. I’m weird, I know. My wife, on the other hand — the very definition of a casual gamer — vastly prefers the Wiimote/Nunchuck. Hmm.
My MK friend code is 3609-1905-0318, feel free to leave yours below. Generally, I have to obsessively finish everything single player has to offer before I get too involved with multiplayer, but the online racing is so cool that I haven’t been able to resist the urge.
How are the battles? No one’s talked about them. Good levels? Bad levels? Do the controls work?

I haven’t played too many battles yet, but I don’t like the fact that you have to choose teams. No more “every man for himself” battles. )_:

Bikes was initially the reason I was going to avoid this game, thinking they were not going to stay true to the franchise. Now, I only race using bikes. They are agile!!
Also, I say give Rainbow Road another chance. I got my ass handed to me 3 times before I raced and got 1st place, giving me the gold trophy for 100cc Special Cup. Now I can race as my Mii, way cool, Nintendo!

The battles are absolutely terrible, don’t even bother. The levels are freaking huge, and it’s just a mess.
That Wario level is one of my least favorites in the game, actually, and I REALLY like Rainbow Road…
Well, at least we agree on Toad Factory.

Yeah, I’m not liking the Wario level, but thats probably because I suck at that one! ^_^
I also like the bikes, but still usually use karts.

I’m waiting for this game to come to Argentina, What sucks is that I’m going to have to pay more than 80 bucks for it, damn importers!
