Good News
Monster Games, the studio behind Excite Truck, is two years into development on a top-secret game for Wii. This is awesome because A) Excite Truck is the most brilliant game no-one’s ever played, and B) Nintendo didn’t give up on the studio after ET’s failure at retail. (It could very well be that they had one game left on contract, but still…positive thinking.) The only downside of their first Wii outing was the somewhat tacky presentation and awful (albeit fitting) music. If they can get that stuff right this time around, we’ll be in serious business.

I own Excite Truck and love, havent found a racer that even comes close to what racing on the Wii should be. Mario Kart just doesnt have the level design and the intensity that Excite Truck captured perfectly.

I keep on hearing rumors of it being F-zero. For how they got the controls down on Excite Truck that’d be pretty sweet.

I personally loved Excite Truck to death.
I actually just recently finally unlocked the crazy monster truck. I still play it. I’m actually trying to get all the highest awards and all the alternate paint jobs for all the trucks. Some of them are proving… difficult. Others easy as pie. This game had a lot of replay value, and I’ve put a LOT of time into it.
Sadly, most people don’t like it because they can’t seem to get it through their heads that they have to TILT, not spin, the Wiimote. It always saddens me when no one else I know can play it with me because they can’t get the controls down. :(

Yeah, unlocking everything is tough, but it’s pure fun the whole time. I spent an entire month with the game, and played absolutely nothing else.
